About Us.
Big Horn Farm and Flower Ranch is a small market farm. Myself and my Husband started in 2020 as a cut flower farm only but proceeded to add produce and chickens. On the farm we grow seasonal vegetables including all different types of greens, carrots, turnips, radish, herbs, beets, summer squash, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, cantaloupe and whatever else we can figure out how to grow. With about 400-layer hens, we always have farm fresh eggs from our flock available. Our flock has a 5000 sq. foot run with plenty of room to roam freely and plenty of healthy greens to eat.
Our daughter Baylee Makay works for us full time, with all our other kids and their mates helping when their time allows. She is a workhorse, and I could not do this without her. It truly is a family affair, and I am so grateful for this.
We believe in Regenerative agriculture practices to maximize health and vitality of the soil. We do not use any chemical pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. We practice regular crop rotation to build soil and help with water retention. We sow, cultivate, and harvest our crops in rhythm with nature and the seasons to be able to produce the healthiest crops for our community to enjoy!
